B. Wages
2009Bobbin is an author, writing a personal memoir. She was able to very clearly dictate what she wanted. In order to achieve the look she wanted I had to ditch the digital approach and draw the icon by hand and then work at building it digitally. The text is Bobbin's own handwriting - which kind of makes me jealous, except that it's a bit girly - converted to vector.

Trevor Morris Photography
2004 - 2009When Trevor decided it was time to make a presence, he really didn't know where to start. We both knew his work had to be front and center, but like every other entity his name also had to make a lasting impression. So we went to the drawing board and left with our finished product - a functional solution. Now, over five years later, we are working together again to develop his new collateral.
Technical Analysis dot com
2008The icon the replaces the period, or dot, in the web address is a straight take on candlesticks.
Roellgen Brewing Co
2008 Who doesn't love a good beer? And what's a good beer without a good logo? Does design reflect quality? The Roellgen identity was so refreshing to make because everything came together at one time. The logo, the Water Dog Ale label, the site template, and some fresh Water Dog Ale. Who wouldn't like a project like that?
Pighead Brewing Co
2007The idea we settled on was a completely visual representation of their untraditional name. Is the beer designed to give you a pig head? is it made by pig heads? From pig heads? Turns out, it's just fun. It's a beer, why shouldn't it be?
Manta Surf & Skate
2008Last I heard Manta didn't make it through the other side of their full startup process. Rather than open their own shop, they plan on creating a small line of merchandise and building from that. I love the smoothness of ray's bodies and had fun creating a vector that could translate.
Love Tractor
2008Love Tractor was born in the '80s, straight out of Athens, GA. On the scene with REM and the B-52's this logo is a spin on a really bad farm joke.
Janus Information Security
2006Janus is a sandbox application that stops bad things from happening. Not the best description, but enough to understand the concept. In Roman mythology Janus is the god of gates, represented by two heads facing opposite directions. Janus needed a logo and I was able to help.
How To Log
2007 - 2009How to Log is side project #11 - strictly devoted to custom product development.
Harris Family Dentistry
2006 - 2009Harris Family Dentistry blends professional dental service with a high-tech office and modern convenience to relieve some of the anxiety of going to the dentist in the first place - and places it all in their small town setting. Even though this ideology is completely different from most modern day dentists it's still a lot of information to get across to potential patients from the sign on a building. So we built an identity over their existing one. A new site, a new logo, a new idea for how patients can connect. The end result is a face that matches what's on the inside.
Green Couch Recording Studio
2006Green Couch Recoding Studio is run by John Grimm out of Vintage Music in Dahlonega, GA. The studio's focal point is the same green couch it's named after.
Gold AMF
2007Some projects never make it past the drawing board. Some only make it just a little farther. It was a lot of fun to be able to do this logo.
The Family Honor
2005This folk/grassroots band from Dahlonega, GA has a lot of raw talent. Led by Jason and Lara Kenney with sometimes a whole slew of members they needed a fitting logo. One that captured their eclectic side. As the years move on these two great people have expanded to teaching all ages about the joy of music.
Elliott Wave International
2007Elliottwave.com is the mothership. It has by far been the highest exposure work that I have done and I don't think I could work for better people. With the ability to work on in a range of areas: logo, digital renderings of all products and services, new collateral, new web site template and css, mini sites, corporate photos, book dust jackets, tutorial materials, eBook covers, affiliate ad campaigns, magazine ads, flash ads and a central service re-branding. This work has been a great foundation for plain and simple understanding.
Climber Above
2006This is my interpretation of a "Climber Above" warning flag. The design is a throw back, in many ways, to the old "Diver Below" icons. The text is necessary because the icon has no recognition with the public; however, in context I don't think there would be a problem. I was brought in as a third party to design this icon. The conclusion is a long and painful story about unicorns and water buffalo.
Charles Mitchell Photography
2004 I wanted to give this logo a classic feel. It needed to embody a timeless nature with a classic color combination. Charles works out of Atlanta, GA - His focus touches on fashion and music photography. In 2004 I built his online portfolio, which he has since had handled somewhere else. Charles' vision is ahead of his time. He truly is a 'get the job done' photographer.
The Bern Family Trust
2009The Bern Family Trust is a hub for family photos, recipes, and more. I keep waiting for my wife to go "Eliot, you got some 'splaining to do" as there is nothing even close to functional for this project - except the logo (update: and a template).
The Ancient Remedy
2007This identity was to developed to represent an online resource that would allow individuals to research and purchase natural remedies. Medicine man meets iPhone love story - battery dies on iPhone, medicine man loses charger and uses iPhone as makeup mirror.
Adrenaline Powerboats, Inc.
2003 - 2007I created the logo for Adrenaline Powerboats in 2003, it was the first time their image really matched their attitude. Branding was simple - the sleek product helped.
