The chart I'm about to link to suggests that the monthly minimum wage in the U.S. is $1160 (by my math minimum wage is $7.25/hr. a typical work week is 40hr. with 52 weeks in a year, divided by 12 = $1256.67, but the numbers are so close who could care). What this particular chart does is put in perspective how much a solo artist (in the music industry) would have to sell in order to profit the monthly minimum wage.
